Funky Fossil - Rock Chick

Dance like no one's watching ... but wait, there is ... can you spot a face spying on the dancing chick?

I created my own background with inks and a stencil.  I started by brushing shaded lilac distress oxide on a panel of white card stock followed by hickory smoke DO through a dotty circle stencil, simple but so effective.  There are some subtle water flicks there too.  The two main images were stamped, coloured with polychromo pencils and fussy cut before shaping slightly and adhering with a mixture of 1mm foam pads and wet glue.  I added some shadow underneath with a metallic silver pencil.

I wanted to add some eyes watching the dancing chick and toyed with the idea of cutting into the door so it would open revealing someone watching from inside.  In the end I opted for something a lot simpler, stamping the face of another rock chick from the set and die cutting into a circle which fitted nicely into the open space of one of the dotty circles.  Mustard coloured matt layer and sentiment from the stamp set to finish.

I've used - 6x6" white card base
Funky Fossil Rock Chick stamp set & Dotty Circle stencil
Distress Oxides - shaded lilac, hickory smoke
Faber-Castell polychromo pencils
