Funky Fossil - Bugs and Blooms

Image
Made for my Dad's birthday - he does have a sense of humour, loves his garden and taking photos so this should go down well.  Another make using stamps, dies and patterned paper from Funky Fossil, my go to collection at the moment.  Love these happy bugs ... I guess the bee is thinking of robbing nectar from the flowers but his mask doesn't really hide who he is; he's got competition from the long nosed winged ant and I think the caterpillar is already well fed! Stamped images coloured with my new polychromo pencils (love their bright colours) and fussy cut.  Die cut three, single film strip frames from patterned paper to arrange over a stamped DI woodgrain panel.  Left the bottom frame for my sentiment a mixture of die cut alphas and stamping. Which bug is your favourite ... I've used - 5x7" white card blank Funky Fossil stamps -  Bugs and Blooms; Woodgrain; Rainy Day Critters (sentiment) Funky Fossil dies - Filmstrip; Ransom Note Alphas Funky Fossil Neutrals pape

Funky Fossil - On the Beach

Image
This little chap from Funky Fossil's Motley Crew stamp set has taken himself off to the beach on his holidays and decided to dip his toe into the water before going out paddle boarding.  He's wearing his water wings just in case!  I've combined lots of other Funky Fossil products to make this card - patterned paper, dies and a stencil. I've inked through a sunray stencil with three shades of distress oxides on the top part of my panel.  The bottom part has patterned paper die cut into strips with two different edges dies to create the beach and water.  The Motley Crew character has been coloured with promarkers and fussy cut; his 'water wings' are from the patterned paper to hide the colour underneath as it was too green for my liking! Die cut and paper pieced the sun umbrella and a second of the middle portion for a surf board stuck in the sand.  Finished with a die cut sentiment.  Panel mounted on a dark green matt. I've used - 6x6" white card base Fu

CAS Santa

Image
I've neglected creating clean and simple cards of late so sharing my second Christmas card of the year made with two challenges in mind  CAS Christmas Card  and  CAS Colours & Sketches .  One challenge prompt was 'Santa' and the other was a sketch so combined them both. On some textured cardstock I stamped 'Believe' with blue ink then stencilled stars with VersaMark ink, heat embossing with some Hanukkah embossing powder which is mainly silver with a hint of blue sparkle.  The panel is mounted on a pearlescent blue card base to link in with the blue of my stamping. This lovely classic Santa image was stamped on the same textured cardstock again with blue ink, fussy cut and adhered.  I gave his beard some shading but left the rest white as I didn't want to introduce any more colours. I've used - A6 card base - blue pearlescent card Magazine freebies stencil and stamps Papermania capsule white textured cardstock Memento nautical blue ink JudiKins Hanukka e

Christmas Joy

Sharing my first Christmas card of the year.  Inspired by a recent video I dusted off my wreath builder template and revisited an older (non Christmas) stamp set choosing just two of them to create this wreath design. Firstly stamped with red and green distress oxides then watercoloured afterwards adding a few white dots on the leaves.  Die cut alphas for the sentiment mounted on a scalloped die cut to place in the centre.  Finished panel matted on dark green cardstock. I've used - 5x5" white scalloped card blank Funky Fossil stamp set - Funky Florals Distress Oxides - abandoned coral, evergreen bough Funky Fossil Ransom Note alpha dies Linking up with - Merry Little Christmas                                                         The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up #45 Anything Christmas Goes                                             #90: ANYTHING GOES CHRISTMAS                                      Thank you for visiting - I'd love you to leave a comment if you have tim
