Warm & Cosy Greetings

Image
I've made this card for the  Coffee Loving Cardmaking  2022 fall/winter coffee lovers blog hop running until Fri 18th Nov where there are lots of prizes to be won.  I reached for last year's stamps & dies that came with Die-Cutting Essentials issue 84 mag created by Helen Griffin - Simply Made Crafts. I used the small stamps in the set with an aperture stencil in a shape stamping technique to create the pretty heart using muted colours adding some gold die cut dots for the hanging thread.  Off set the stamped sentiment.  I've given the heart a padded feel by using a ball tool to stretch the cardstock from behind and adding 1mm foam pads. Using scraps of coloured card the rest of the elements were die cut - gingerbread latte mug with a couple of cute gingerbread men, a small Christmas tree, heart and stars.  Embraced leaving white space for a CAS look. Smile - how the duck are you?

Image
Made this encouragement card for a friend who loves ducks so hopefully will bring a smile ... the sentiment on the inside says 'how the duck are you?' My background panel has a leaf design stencilled on it with a watermark ink pad and clear heat embossed then the edges lightly inked.  I like the subtle effect of tone on tone this technique gives.  The design also catches the light sadly not caught in my photos. The fun duck in the umbrella image has been stamped, coloured with promarkers and cut out, yes a bit fiddly but well worth the effort as I wanted this to mount onto my stencilled background and be tucked behind a cluster of die cut flowers and foliage. 'Smile' die cut sentiment I've used - 13.5 cm sq white card base Funky Fossil stamp set - Rainy Day Critters Funky  Fossil dies - Doodle Blooms; Funky Word; Ransom Note Alphas Funky Fossil stencil - In the Air Core'dinations cardstock Linking up with -                  Crazy is our fame  - November stencil
