Oh Happy Day ... 2nd Blog Anniversary

Image
Gosh my blog is two years old today, thank you to everyone who pops by when they can it's lovely to have your company and to share our love of crafting. This bright little card was made using a cut and emboss folder, the butterflies were coloured with lemon brusho and adhered back on leaving their wings raised.  Added some yellow paper behind the panel which just about shows beneath their wings. A separate larger butterfly was added, die cut from a scrap of card in my backgrounds file, as a focal point with just a hint of mica shimmer spray on top.  Finished off with a swallow tail banner and peel off sentiment. I've used -  A6 card base Cream linen cardstock Xcut Butterflies cut & emboss folder Xcut Swallow Tail Bunting die Lemon brusho Peel off sentiment Thank you for visiting - I'd love you to leave a comment if you have time -  Steph x

CAS Stencil January - use a new stencil

Image
We all need some colour in our lives to get us through these dull winter days so decided to use a rainbow effect to mark  CAS Stencil Challenge  celebrating its 1st birthday.  This month's prompt was to use a new stencil and I chose to brush inks over a mesh stencil I bought at the end of last year, one of a range brought out by Woodware. After masking off part of the stencil where I wanted the sentiment to go I brushed over six distress oxide inks then heat embossed with clear EP to keep the vibrant colours and shine as I used a pearl base card.  Inks were used in this order - wilted violet, shaded lilac, cracked pistachio, squeezed lemonade, wild honey & picked raspberry.  A music style die cut sentiment was embossed with black sparkle EP to add even more glimmer. I've used -  top fold A6 pearl card base Woodware letter mesh stencil Distress Oxides The Works sentiment die Clear & black sparkle EP Playing along at -  CAS Stencil Challenge
