CAS Gesso Resist

This month's CAS Mix Up Card Challenge is to use a gesso resist technique, again a product I did not already have until my local store recently opened up again so I was able to buy a pot and finally have a play which is why I'm just posting before the deadline.

I've created an encouragement card.  Dina Wakley's media girl silhouette stamp was my starting point, she was stamped with gesso on some mixed media card hand cut into a fish tail banner.  Once dry I sponged a mix of blue/lilac distress inks over the top, spritzed with water then added some turquoise brusho powder mostly around the edges, spritzed again to get a smooth darker tone leaving a lighter area in the middle.  Added more interest with stamped stars and tiny stamped words.

The dictionary definition 'wonderful' rubber stamp is a very old wood mounted one which I've stamped onto the white panel and then partly onto the top of the banner so it could overlap.  'You are' is a separate clear stamp.  A few random die cut stars to embellish/hide stray ink spots!

I've used - A6 blue card base
Faber-Castell mixed media pad
Dina Wakley MEDIA mag stamps
Distress Inks, Brusho
Docrafts Whispers Words stamp
Xcut star die
