Thinking of You
Recently I needed a sympathy card for a work colleague who sadly lost her mum so decided to take inspiration from a project by Tracey Evans in Phill Martin's stamping special magazine which used his flower/grass stencil. This is my take on her card.
I placed an oval aperture stencil on top of the flower/grass stencil and firstly sponged with distress oxides - cracked pistachio & evergreen bough for the grasses and shaded lilac for the flower heads, then applied Versamark ink and heat set with clear EP.
Using milled lavender distress ink for the rest of the inky process I replaced the oval aperture and brushed ink through, removed then sponged around the edges of a paper circle to create a spotlight and a script stamp in the hand to randomly stamp to add more depth. Finally stamped the sentiment and inked around the panel edges adding a few sequins to embellish.
