Postage Frame Christmas Deer Family
As January's CAS Christmas Card challenge theme was 'silhouette' this prompted me to use a die cut deer family in an icy postage frame setting |
I've blended two shades of blue distress inks inside a large postage frame stencil straight onto the front of my card blank. Decided to stamp around the edges with my favourite snowflake stamp using hickory smoke distress oxide and adhered the deer family standing on top of some stamped icy swirls.
The smaller frame above is similarly inked, stamped with part of the snowflake, a circular sentiment and drawn wavy lines to represent a postage mark.
Some finishing touches here & there with a silver gelly roll pen |
First time ever I've made a start on this year's Christmas cards so early!
I've used - 13.5 cm sq white card blank
Funky Fossil Postage Frame stencil
DIs tumbled glass, stormy sky
Gifted deer die cut
Hot off the Press Enchanted Christmas stamp set
Tonic sentiment stamp
DO hickory smoke

ReplyDeleteA very classy card, Steph. I love it! The stamps are lovely, of course, but it's the shades of distressed ink on the white card that really brings it all together. Fantastic! x
