Hug Life: it's precious
I love taking part in CAS Stencil Challenge each month as the techniques set by the ladies really test me so when April's was announced I had to take a back seat as I didn't have any gilding flakes. Then by chance when I was looking for something else in my stash I came across some sheets of gold leaf metal which I must have got way, way back when I was doing calligraphy ... that'll do I thought!
I've used a flower grass border stencil along the bottom of my panel with spray adhesive & the leaf metal which turned out rather fragmented so decided to add some die cut poppy heads as a foreground with a 'hug life' sentiment above just because it seemed so appropriate for the situation we all find ourselves in at the moment. I do love the overall soft tones of gold, linen & white together.

ReplyDeleteWow...Gorgeous gold leaf flower edge with your die cut flowers and hug Life sentiments. Such a pretty angled die cut edging too for your beautiful CAS design. So happy you were able to play with us again at CAS Stencil, Steph. The Gold Leaf metal worked great as a substitute for gilding flakes. Stay safe and creative. Love and Hugs..Nancy
