May Blossom Split Stamping Technique

Tried the split stamping technique that was in issue 133 of Creative Stamping mag where you have one image in two different colourways.  The inspiration for both of these makes was May blossom even though tree blossom was out in April and blown around everywhere by our unpredictable wet and windy weather!  The images were stamped on white and pink cardstock then both images cut in half and swapped over so you create two projects ...  I've made a card and a calendar page.

The white panel images were coloured with watercolour paints.  The pink panels have sparkle accents added.  Once the panels were swapped over and taped back together tattered rose distress ink was inked around the edges.  The card has a background panel dry embossed using a floral stencil, sentiment stamped and white heat embossed on a strip of vellum with a stamped & die cut flower tucked in to the side.  Washi tape added to the corners of the main panel.  A few enamel dots to embellish.  Panels matted onto red cardstock.

For my May calendar page I decided on yellow butterflies and to mount the panel onto spring green cardstock.  The two positive sentiments are from other Funky Fossil stamp sets.

I've used - 5x7" white card base
Funky Fossil 2024 A5 desktop calendar
Items used from Funky Fossil's Papercraft Society Box 52
(apart from the two calendar sentiments)
Studio Light art by marlene watercolour paints
Cosmic Shimmer 3d sparkle accents; Funky Fossil starlight stellar paste
Ranger glacier white enamel accents
