Gone Fishing

Birthday card made for a family member who used to go fishing.  Had to did out a very old stamp set for these images which are small in size so repeat stamping was the way to go.

Started with a piece of watercolour paper and using watered down distress inks stamped some distress elements stamps in a random pattern to create a water effect background.  Next came some of the fishing stamps around the edges using grey ink.  The prominent fishing rod was stamped in black which does have a tiddler fish on the end of the line so decided to stamp, colour and cut out the larger fish to add over the top.  The bag in the stamp set could pass as a tackle bag I thought so this was also stamped, coloured and fussy cut.

Added a die cut sentiment, two arrows to give movement and some 'pebbles'.  Panel mounted on a faux torn edge matt using a new edges die.
I've used - 6x6" white card base
See-D's Boys Toys stamp set
Funky Fossil Distress Elements stamp set
Distress Inks - tumbled glass, crushed olive
Funky Fossil sentiment die; Funky Fossil Neutrals paper pad
Xcut mini die Arrows; Funky Fossil Edges die set
Promarkers
