Happy Easter

Sharing a set of Easter cards using some pre-printed Easter die-cut decoupage images that I won as a challenge prize and patterned papers from my stash.  Not my usual style of crafting but I did like how they turned out.

The background pattern paper strips were arranged in a herringbone pattern.  Here's a link to a good tutorial which shows how to do five different versions.  Would like to try some of the other versions in the future though I did use up a lot of double sided tape in the process!

The decoupage bunny images were mounted on vellum mats so the pretty background could still be seen with a stamped and gold embossed sentiment.  Only two decoupage layers per card so they were flat for posting.

For these next two cards I covered a card base with patterned paper and hand cut into shape.  Added die cut shapes on the head for the hen's comb, beak & wattles, a sequin eye, die cut wing & some flowers with the decoupage chick/eggs image.  Stamped & white embossed sentiment.

Wishing crafty friends a Happy Easter ... I won't be going far over the weekend as our dog will be coming home from the Vets tomorrow after a leg op ... she'll be confined to her crate for bed rest for quite a while!

I've used - A6 & 13.5 cm sq card bases
The Works Sense of Spring papperstack
gifted Easter die-cut decoupage sheets
Anita's plain white vellum
Various sentiment stamps

  1. These are beautiful Steph, as I can attest to having been the lucky recipient of one of the fabulous herringbone ones!
Sorry to hear about your dog. Our 'baby' boy has a problem with one of his legs. Luckily no operation required (so far) but he does have to wear a cone 24/7 to stop him licking and he is basically hyper/freaked out at all times. He hasn't slept at all, which means neither have we! Seriously, how long can a young dog go without sleep? 50+ hours so far and it has to stay on for another 5 days/nights 🙄!
I hope you have a nice, quiet weekend and that your dog heals well. 💕 Clare x
