Thanks Friend
I'm sharing a couple of Thank You cards I've made recently ... one CAS and one very busy on your eyes ... you have been warned! For my CAS card everything was stamped directly onto the card base ... I do love Autumn colours and just chose two to create my card.
I first placed a strip of masking tape across the card front near the top and stamped two different leaves using red and yellow pigment ink pads overlapping them slightly. A horizontal line was then scored above. 'Thanks' was stamped above centre and 'friend’ below right. Added a few die cut circles as embellishments and some glossy accents for highlights.
My second card uses a new-to-me paint technique called ‘Dendritic’ monoprinting where you press acrylic paint between two pieces of glass/acrylic blocks/CD cases to get a tendril effect of branching, treelike patterns ... interesting … something to revisit again. Hopefully the die cut letters in a softer tan colour helps to diffuse the busy background which I also used for matting & layering onto the card base.

I placed a pea sized drop of paint on an acrylic block and pressed another acrylic block on top then gently prised them apart revealing the dendrictic effect on both sides. You do need to be fairly quick in placing your card over the top to transfer the paint as it will dry in next to no time. This was repeated several times with the two colours to cover the area I wanted. I think I prefer the finer tendrils over the much thicker ones which is why there are two die cut circles added on top with die cut flower detail.
I've used - 4x4" white card base
Striped upper case alphabet dies from The Works
docrafts Artiste Acrylic paint
