CAS Paper Pieced Ivy
It was great to see that Back to Basics and Beyond Challenge chose to feature the paper piecing technique this time round which I have done on and off in the past. I decided to keep to a CAS design on kraft card so went hunting for a suitable stamp in my collection and eventually chose an ivy stamp as the leaves were straightforward to cut!
I love the white embossed look on kraft card which I've achieved using the ivy and sentiment stamps although it's hard not to get any stray specks of white even though I do use an anti-static pad! Chose some bright pink and blue patterned paper and stamped the ivy again this time in black to add a contrast cutting away the double outline border before shaping and mounting with silicone glue for a slightly raised effect.
Finishing touch was a little blue bird stamped on top of the sentiment.
