Time for tea ... Tea Party

Ah I do love a cup of tea but rarely use a teacup as mugs hold more tea!  I do like the look of pretty teacups though so when I saw The Paper Players current challenge theme was Tea Party I got out this dainty teacup die to use as it's got a lovely open cut floral design.

To stop all the little "itsy bitsy" pieces falling out from the die I used an adhesive pearlised textured sheet on lightweight card first then cut them again in coloured card which was mounted on top so the design shows through white and you get a smooth surface teacup and no chips!  One cup was able to be stacked inside another as the teacup has a natural slit in the top.  The "tablecloth" has been embossed with a small art deco style rose design.  All that's missing is some lovely mouthwatering cake ... now why didn't I think to add some ...

I've used - top fold 5x5 scalloped edge card base
Patterned papers: pink Hunkydory, striped Docrafts
All separate magazine cover mounts: teacup die, EF, sentiment stamp
Xcut Xtra's A5 Adhesive Pearlised Textured Sheets
Unbranded stitched scalloped edge dies
Papermania pale blue adhesive stones
