CAS Nativity Baubles

Well I've never made a Christmas card so early in the year!  As I'm waiting on some new stamps to arrive for my next couple of family birthdays I decided to join in for the first time with CAS Christmas Card July challenge where the theme is nativity scenes and Allsorts Challenge something beginning with 'B' (baubles, blue, brusho).

I wanted to create a group of three baubles with nativity related scenes inside and reached for a set of border dies from a magazine cutting them in navy blue & silver card, inlaid them together before cutting out with circle dies.  The stable scene die had Joseph stood right beside so I had to position the die on the edge of my cutting plates in a partial die cut technique to get him on his own. Then felt the card needed a touch of colour so sprinkled some lemon Brusho powder on a panel of card and spritzed with water to create some downward light from the star.  My three baubles were then slotted into circles cut into the brusho panel.  Finished off with die cut bauble hanging caps and a stamped sentiment which has a line from the chorus of God Rest You Merry, Gentlemen ...

I've used - A6 white card base
Faber-Castell mixed media card panel
Lemon Brusho
Simply Cards & Papercraft Issue 184 scenic nativity die set
Apple Blossom festive sentiment stamp
Sizzix Tim Holtz bauble cap die from circle words Christmas set
