Woodware Bubble Bauble

Image
Just love this bubble style Christmas bauble stamp from Woodware designed by Jane Gill which I've combined with pattern papers. I took a sheet of deep blue paper from Funky Fossil's Shibori paper pad that reminded me of a night sky with a hint of snow at the bottom and stamped/embossed the bauble/sentiment with white EP.  From a different sheet of paper from the same pad I stamped just the bow and paper pieced that on top adding some shading with a pencil.  Down either side I added die cut torn edge strips. Then came some die cut circles for the larger bubbles, to my eye they are trees on a snowy hilltop.  Even smaller circles were die cut from a silver glitter adhesive sheet.  The rest of the bubbles were covered with glossy accents.  Definitely a labour of love die cutting/sticking them all in place but quite a dramatic overall effect. Funky Fossil - Sending Love & Strength

Image
Recently I supported Funky Fossil  by buying the lovely Hope Blooms stamp set designed by Tina Ashton as they were donating profits from the sale of the set to a breast cancer charity.  This is my first card made from the set. October is Global Breast Cancer Awareness month, people from all over the world can show their support for everyone affected by breast cancer and hope for a future where everyone with Breast Cancer lives and lives well. A steadfast tree with heart shaped leaves, two little birdies enveloping the trunk with ribbon in a symbolic hug. I used promarkers to colour and a mirror stamping technique for the right hand bird/ribbon.  Sentiment stamped & embossed in gold EP on vellum.  Panel mounted on a pink matt. I've used - 13.5 cm sq white card black Funky Fossil stamp set - Hope Blooms Promarkers Linking up with -                      Cardz 4 Galz            ...

Chocolate Bar Birthday

Image
A fun chocolate bar birthday card with zero calories ... I had seen this style of card on Pinterest and decided it was about time to create one myself. So easy to achieve: die cut squares and hearts in brown cardstock to layer up created the individual chocolate chunks and a strip of purple card with a torn edge and a layer of foil for the wrapper on a panel of brown cardstock.  I added a cute rock chick holding a cup cake and strip of card for the sentiment.  Chick coloured with polychromo pencils and fussy cut. Delved through my embossing folders and chose one with birthday words as a neutral background panel. I've used - 5x7" white card base Funky Fossil stamps - Rock Chick, Distress Elements & Happy Words docrafts Papermania Birthday EF Faber Castell polychromos Linking up with - Seize the Birthday  #248 ATG         Little Red Wagon  # 673 - Birthday               Daring Cardmakers  Be Happ...
