Autumn Days
Autumn is one of my favourite seasons, looking forward to the rich colours of the changing leaves, squirrels busy collecting fallen acorns, fungi raising their heads above ground and seeing sunflowers still in bloom. This card was made for a September birthday. I made my own background panel (pictured below) with two distress oxide inks smooshed on it before dry embossing with a layered leaves stencil. Stencilled on top of the raised embossing with various dye inks then used the second layering stencil to just ink the tops of the acorns. Panel matted on burgundy cardstock. Wanted to use a recent sale purchase of an Apple Blossom die set which creates a circular shaped puzzle centrepiece and chose a sunflower patterned paper from a recent magazine along with the same burgundy cardstock for the frame.
