Easter Boxing Hares - part 2

Image
Sharing another Easter Boxing Hares card I’ve made using the same main items as my previous one which you can see  here just a totally different layout.  This time chose green to go with the yellow and left in the circular burst die pieces.  Layout inspired by one of last year's Freshly Made Sketches #282. I've used -   13.5 cm card base; patterned paper from The Works pad; Lemon Brusho Crystal Colour on Claritystamp stencil card; IndigoBlu stamps; Unbranded dies; Mag freebie sentiment stamp; Flower gems from stash Thank you for visiting - I'd love you to leave a comment if you have time -  Steph x

CAS - Colours of the Rainbow

Image
I couldn't resist making a card for  The Paper Players  current challenge this week as the theme is Clean and Simple ..."Rainbow".  I just love rainbow colours and admire other crafters who are CAS perfectionists.  So picture this ... a cycle ride on a warm Spring day with the scent of flowers in the air and my card design was born.  Typical English weather though, there was snow on the ground outside while this card was being made! I decided to leave the cycle uncoloured in contrast to the flowers/sentiment in their rainbow colours. I've used -  13.5 cm sq card blank; Mag cover mount cycle stamp; Docrafts Trad Floral flower stamps; Papermania pigment ink pads; First Edition Modern Alphabet dies; Unbranded stitched rectangle die Thank you for visiting - I'd love you to leave a comment if you have time -  Steph x

CAS - Easter Boxing Hares

Image
Decided to finally use a 2012 Craft Stamper cover mount stamp by IndigoBlu of boxing hares for a CAS Easter card.  I had already created a background with Brushos so once my panel was cut with stitched dies it was a case of stamping and embossing along the bottom curved edge.  Beside the hares is part of another IndigoBlu stamp (girl called 'Juliet' with flowers, birds & butterflies in her flowing hair).  Added a few flower gems and a circular burst die backed with pale lilac paper. I've used -  13.5 cm card base; Lemon Brusho Crystal Colour on Claritystamp stencil card; IndigoBlu stamps; Unbranded dies; Mag freebie sentiment stamp; Flower gems from stash These were the result of a play session I had a while back with Brushos (some I gifted to another crafter) and you can see the Lemon one I've just used.  The other colours were Purple, Scarlet & Yellow, Leaf Green ... the top blue pair I didn't note down what I used! Thank you for vi...

Double Circle Flip-It Card with Embedded Embossing

Image
Well this card certainly took its time coming together with two offset, overlapping, flip-it elements to get measured right and a new-for-me technique of embedded embossing.  I've seen crafters use a specially designed die that cuts out everything these flip-it cards need, but me I only had a small unbranded flip-it die to use which cut the vertical lines instead of scoring them doh! so had to go down the partial die cutting route to overcome that. The white panels have circles from coloured card stuck down before running through an EF for the embedded embossing technique, this works really well as the design then looks seamless.  Definitely a technique I'll be using again. All four circle flip-its have a football theme. Here is the back view. And here is the card closed showing the overlapping circles. Not easy to photograph as had to be weighted down! I've used -  various unbranded dies; See-D's football stamp; Xcut Galvanised Steel EF Thank...

Carnations for Mother's Day

Image
Another inky card to share ... this time using worn lipstick with a touch of milled lavender distress inks sponged through an art stencil to create my abstract background before over stamping the carnations in black, adding colour to the flowers with a water brush again with DIs. Some of the colour block edges were masked so I could stamp just small parts of the carnations in a lighter grey ink before drawing around each block with a fine tip marker pen to make the whole design pop.  My stamped sentiment fitted perfectly too.  The background panel was cut down slightly with a deckle edge to fit my card base, again edged in marker pen. I've used - 13.5 cm sq card blank; Claritystamp abstract squares art stencil; Claritystamp carnation stamp; Distress Inks; mag freebie sentiment stamps I'm playing along this week with  The Paper Players: PP384 - A Colour Challenge  - any shade of pink Thank you for visiting - I'd love you to leave a comment if you have...
