Hello Woodland Squirrels

This lovely salmon/coral coloured pearlescent card base has been in my stash for absolutely ages just waiting to be used but had to use a die and create an aperture to remove the tuck and fold design as that part was sadly a bit dog-eared.  Anyone remember those Lacé style tuck and fold cards?  The aperture was backed with an ombré inked panel and die cut tree trunks overlaid for a woodland sunset scene complete with squirrels.

I chose some warm distress ink colours to compliment the card base inking over torn paper for the hills.  Tree trunks were cut twice, a white layer behind for highlights.  Here's a close up view of my ombré inked aperture panel.

We come across many grey squirrels on our dog walks so added a pair holding some alphabet beads saying HELLO strung with thin gold beading wire.  Decided to "ground" the squirrels with some florist ribbon tucked under their feet.

I've used - 15x10.5cm pearlescent card base
Squirrel from First Edition Woodland Theme die set
Distress Inks - ripe persimmon, worn lipstick, scattered straw
Unbranded dies - stitched scallop circle, birch trees
